EVENT: Control Unleashed Comes to Oregon! Nov 10, 11 and 12, 2007

29 08 2007

Cyber Agility is pleased and proud to announce Leslie McDevitt’s Seminar, Control Unleashed, based on her just-released book, Control Unleashed (www.cleanrun.com or www.dogwise.com).

November 10, 11 and 12, 2007 Cornelius, Oregon

Full details can be found at www.cyberagility.com – click on the seminar announcement box. Dogs in any environment that has the possibility of presenting unusual or intense stimuli can be considered Control Unleashed candidates. These could be agility dogs, obedience dogs, herding dogs, therapy dogs, flyball dogs, service dogs, rally dogs, freestyle dogs, gun dogs, SAR dogs or family dogs.

Though her book and her classes are centered around agility classes and the stimulus of agility action, any environment can be an overload for some dogs.

Leslie McDevitt’s Control Unleashed program is all about keeping the excitement and enthusiasm while teaching our dogs to be relaxed and calm. Over-aroused all the way to shutdown – Control Unleashed covers the whole spectrum.

Please join us for two days of seminar followed by a day of private lessons (for those dogs unable to be calm enough to work around other dogs). Working spots for the seminar are currently filled; I do have a waiting list. Private spots are available on a priority basis to those dogs how exhibit “high end” behaviors (see the criteria on the seminar website). I would very much like to get the right dogs into the private lessons so that we can all watch how Leslie works with these dogs. If you teach classes and have discovered that Fido or Fluffy is just plain not appropriate for your performance class, Fido or Fluffy may be just the dog we’d like to see in a private lesson with Leslie!

PLEASE CROSS POST THIS ANNOUNCEMENT TO ANY PLACE YOU FEEL IS APPROPRIATE.  PLEASE PASS IT ON TO ANY PERFORMANCE CLASS INSTRUCTORS IN THE AREA TOO.

Stressed, reactive, over-aroused, shut-down dogs – it’s a growing epidemic in dog sports and there’s plenty to learn from Leslie on this subject.
