Bash at Power Paws Camp 2004

28 04 2004

Just got back from Power Paws and considering the heat (20 degrees hotter than usual that time of year) baby Bash did really well. We all had a great time…and everyone fell in love with him. Every time he got to the line someone said how cute he was. Jen Pinder couldn’t help but run him. People kept coming up to Sandy all weekend to tell her what a cutie he is. He also got to try the 60 Weave Pole Challenge…didn’t quite make it but had a good time trying…more news later.

PP Camp Schedule

17 04 2004

Schedule’s up for Power Paws Camp. Baby Bash gets to work with Susan Garrett as his elective. That means 3 days in a row. Then his group gets to work with Jim Basic (rear cross), Jen Pinder (front cross/work the head), Gerry Brown (weaves), Dana Pike (leadout), Rachel Sanders (discrimination), Elicia Calhoun (contacts), Mary Ellen Barry (turns and lines), Laura Manchester (distance and layering), And Greg Derret (which cross where)…plus 3 workshops so far, Sandy’s looking at working with Nancy Oulette and Wendy Pape. There’s so much to see…that she may skip out on some of the working sessions to watch another group…or attend another workshop…

The working sessions are 1 hour 45 minutes long…so should be pretty intense. Crissy has her own plans on who and what to watch…so far looks like a lot of Wendy Pape :-) . but should have a lot of fun seeing other folks. Will update the blog as more details come clear. Right now just focusing on getting all our work done so we can take our time making our way to Turlock in time for Thursday.

Bash AAD

12 04 2004

Bash goes 7 for 7 at the RAT USDAA trial in Elma WA. Q’s in all games and standard runs to earn his AAD in just 3 trials. PLUS he qualifies for the Grand Prix. What an awesome little guy! Less than 2 weeks until Power Paws camp…can’t wait to find out what BASH gets to play in… We’ve decided to move him up to Elite in NADAC. No more ring conflicts and he can start earning NATCh points.

Baby Bash turns 2

8 04 2004

HAPPY BIRTHDAY little Bash Boy! He’s been a busy little guy. 2 great days with Greg Derrett, then earning that last leg to get his AD that weekend. He’s been playing some great agility…doing awesome at NADAC. And is heading to Power Paws camp in a few weeks. Haven’t heard who he gets to work with…but whatever the case…Sandy and he will have fun. It’s been tought to slow down to chart his progress and take the time to say what we’ve needed to go back to work on. But the training goes on every day. He’s working on points to go to the NADAC Championships. And hopefully a grand prix qualifier and a steeplechase. He’s got plans to play the DAM with Em and Idgie at the NW Regional this summer. Check here to chart everyones agility progress:
