feels like its been a while since we’ve had anything to write about…but guess not. he learned how to catch today. very exciting indeed! mainly his days have been filled with car trips to agility trials where he gets to play with other puppies and wiggle and kiss all the willing peoples. he seems eager to learn more things altho the present 3 weeks have been about the other dogs…also wicked teething right now!
Just learned how to shake a paw and high five is coming. He’s being very snuggly lately…gotta say we love it! Got to go on Beach Trip # 2…a bit windier and the tide was WAY out…so it was a down and dirty trip. Lots of running to keep warm…and lots of gathering of sticks (we’ll make sure not to let him near matches). Definitely loves retreiving now…not a ball yet…but everything else…wrench, keys, anything you can throw. He usually sits IN the toy box to pick his toys…usually some pretty interesting choices…his faves: wiggly giggly ball, small squeaky pig, teeny weeny brown squeeky fuzzy squirrel…
He can jump up onto anything now…gets in and out of the car himself, he can get up on any couch or bed by himself…not completely sure this is a great thing. He now can run down the stairs very well and fast. He’s definitely grown a lot! Work on sits, downs, eye contact and recalls are going really well. We’ve also introduced a target touch to the left hand this was a piece of cake. His 2 toy game retreive is going very well. He does have a bit of a hard time giving up the little squeaky piggy (this was also Tess’s favourite toy as a puppy). Still has a real love for my keys…not certain that this is something we’ll always be glad we encouraged! ha ha.
He’s gone up and down all kinds of stairs (wood, metal, see through)…got to find him an elevator… And we got him on a buja board the other day (piece of cake)…but he’s outgrown it already! So we’re off to fashion him a new one. Stay tuned for more puppy fun and adventure…
Got to go to the beach for the first time today. Em and Max sure got him moving! They were so cool…even Jack decided to play. Too bad we didn’t have the camera…all three (Em, Max and Bash) were tugging off the same kong. Can’t wait to go back!
Had A LOT of fun today. Lots of play time with Max and even got Jackson to play chase. Learned how to stand for brushing, go in his crate on cue, and he’s retreiving! He’s also starting to have a rockin’ down! Starting to fade the props and he’s able to offer down with a hand cue (no verbal cue yet)! He’s gotten to try a few other strange things to eat (lamb kidneys, beef tongue…loves everything so far!!!) and trying things like getting his feet muddy in the woods. Can’t wait to get him to the beach!!!
